It remains as something of an irrefutable fact that Vladimir Putin himself is singularly responsible for the unrelenting catastrophic military failure and impending socioeconomic self-dissasembly that this ill-advised invasion of Ukraine has brought upon his own country. It is his fault and it is entirely implausible that even the most staunchly nationalistic hardliners in the Russian Federation will not eventually turn upon him.
