Doctor Who is such a perennially fascinating character. Beyond the indefinitely extensible and Menger sponge-like topological vacuum of the TARDIS (“…but – its bigger on the inside!”) as transmission medium of unbounded self-inflection, the Doctor seems to only just have self-consciously begun to acknowledge an irreducible epistemological blindspot in his own narrative. This resembles, I suggest, a reflective acknowledgement that it is his arrival and presence which represents the causal source of the many and diversely discontinuous anomalies he somewhat inevitably and endlessly stumbles across. Ouroboros: the problem precedes and constitutes the solution.
On another vector – the description as model of a system often functions in similar ways to the Good Doctor’s unwitting invocation of antinomy; inadvertently invoking confirmatory self-validation in and as the signals that reflect from its (ultimately metaphysical) object. Tesseract: teleology critically depends upon its own absent closure.
Via negativa, secularly, and by an unexpected path. Holism: just some ad hoc thoughts in this world wide waterfall of words.
