If we might posit significance or particularity to the diverse methods and technical forms that the diversity of art and visual culture takes at any historical moment, can we then also assume some global or systemic unity such that any specific creative entity, artefact or process inversely forms a filter or logically reflexive lense through which that totality may then be interpreted, translated, understood ?
