Defining Knowledge and Intelligence Simultaneously Inhibits It

Early philosophers were about as accurate in their rational assumptions as we ourselves will appear to future scientists.

Observe the progressive sedimentation of difference that occurs as fields of study are defined and become their own relatively self-consistent, self-propagating information systems. Each area of study (of knowledge, of associated, interdependent abstractions) becomes structured around unique taxonomies and conceptual centers. The enigma of this procedural refinement is that the structural and functional mechanism of language and ordered communication by which any field of philosophy (or for that matter – of technology) maintains it’s own internal structure and self-validating assurances – particularly in institutional settings – is also the dragging anchor of convention that inhibits the free flow of intelligence and discovery, or at the very least – constrains it’s possible (and probable arcs) of future development.
