Belief

We strive to forge an identity that feels wholly ours, a unique broadcast of the Self, yet its contours of possibility are shaped by the collective.

In this pursuit, language plays a cunning game. Like the mythical Ouroboros forever chasing its tail, our search for self-definition is a perpetual spiral. We reach for a self-sufficiency in meaning, an aspirational closure, but it remains elusive, always a step beyond grasp. The meaning we seek in words is perpetually deferred, residing in an ever-shifting horizon.

This quest for certainty, for an unshakable anchor in a sea of doubt, is paradoxical. To achieve absolute certainty is to arrive at a peculiar void – a state where the Self dissolves. In this paradox lies a profound truth: absolute certainty and the cessation of being are one and the same.

Our inner psyche, this labyrinthine structure of thought and feeling, is mirrored in the media and cultural artifacts that surround us. They are reflections of our collective struggle for meaning, echoes of our desire to define, understand, and ultimately transcend ourselves. In this modern era, where identity and meaning are more fluid than ever, we continue this dance – a dance of definition and redefinition in a world that defies absolute certainties.

In the intricate dance of belief and the multifaceted Self, we find ourselves at the mercy of an evolving process, a complex system of communication, a technological narrative.
