A theory describes itself and its own history as much as it ever comprehensively communicates or unproblematically renders its object, it sets out to prove that an absence of its opposite is the presence (and truth) of itself. A cunning gambit as the basis for confirmatory self-validation but grounded in this way in an abject dependency and relational semantics that absolutely requires and generates the nodal abstraction of self and knowledge as an effectively alienated, isolated, local coordinate system. This locality is what allows intelligibility and communication to occur but its relativity in the ensemble is such that to occupy, embody or inhabit a dissimulation of objective viewpoint is always and already to be alienated from the full or isomorphic modelling and comprehension of that thing; most saliently – of itself. This epistemological stretching, semiotic elasticity and aspiration into metaphysical self-negation as foundation for reality and truth is an unresolvable, undecidable problem, puzzle and game. That conspicuously absent resolution is what makes it so endlessly interesting and not only applies when theory references itself but undergoes a kind of recursively hyper-inflating (as logically explosive) decompression when it does.
