Entropy Locking

Entropy locking describes the scenario where a system and its control mechanism become intricately intertwined with the entropy they produce, relying on an offset diffusion and complexity displacement for adaptive self-sustainment. The environment is simply another system in the most elementary symmetry or definition; a system/environment coupling or communications bridge resembles two systems, entangled with a caveat or subscript that one of those systems is a multitude.

This situation evolves beyond entangled system modeling of each other’s outputs for essentially knowledge and control purposes. In this state of resonant dependency, the systems share a control mechanism that functions more like an inter-system communication process, as an interface. Here, the model is distributed, and Ashby’s principle of requisite variety is relevant. Essentially, this mutual exchange of models constitutes a form of communication; the distributed, observed difference and similarity assures sustainable interdependence.
