A spectrum and integrated matrix of regenerative uncertainty is simultaneously: that which compels that we must communicate, and, that which inevitably arises from communication. That we find ourselves somewhat lashed to the mast of this self-propagating vortex of competitive differences and ideological distances should really be no surprise for any mature observer or well-reasoned observational position. That options and opportunities to navigate such a context are as distrubted as they are diverse may represent an unexpected and unacknowledged point of leverage to many of us.
It is worth reflecting that the technologically-mediated amplification of uncertainties is precisely the transmission medium and signal source of self-validating value attribution of certainties and facts. We must find meaning and purpose not because of or through the prevalence of persistent and dissonant uncertainties, but in spite of them: this is self-determination. For this reason, if among many others, a critical error is to consider information conflict and its narrative dimension of contested, competitive identities and ideologies as being in any sense separate from our daily lives.
You never simply find yourself in bad traffic, you are bad traffic. The responsibility to steer this complex vessel of turbulent global communications systems towards sustainable, equitable and democratic futures is also yours.
