AI is Everywhere

AI is a concept. That concept is, or for all intents and purposes soon will be, everywhere.

Cultural systems instruct us in the relational semantics of high-dimensional combinatorial depth without once ever having to complicate it in this way. This is because cultural systems do not copy the blueprint or source code of their contexts or milieu. They replicate the process of replication, stored as though in a material and/or narrative battery of meaning and implicature.

Definitely an interesting resonance: the distributed semantic networks of culture, language, technology – all function similarly in some way because the encoding mechanism is itself what is shared. It is not the making of maps, it is the mapping of the maps of those things that are made and they, in turn, and after Assembly Theory’s lead, record their histories as an abbreviated abstraction and decomposable history of #complexity.

Discussions like this rarely happen online and more’s the pity for it. Technological evolution is a part of our own evolution, rendering us as far too closely self-entangled with it to grasp any essence or unifying principle. A significant point, perhaps, because under one moving frame of philosophical or cybernetic reference: the conspicuous absence of unifying abstraction precisely is the unity.
