Uncertainty

Do you ever get the feeling that no one really ever knows what they are doing ? Perhaps we are all just winging it, guessing, improvising and rolling the dice from one day to the next. There are patterns, symmetries, regularities, oscillations and probabilities but there are no certainties. Those who profess the greatest certainty and trade in absolutes always strike me as the least trustworthy because those absolutes are themselves more often only corrupt interpretations biased towards the self-interest of the interpreters. How better to claim power and self-importance for one’s self than to create a contingent truth translated or interpreted from the various facts of the world and to insert one’s self as its sole arbiter, to then claim it as necessary and self-evident.
