Notwithstanding that the structural genesis of disinformation is, in general terms, simply a subset of the much wider field of all possible communicative constellations, it remains deeply fascinating in its own right. Its analysis reaches from information and semantics through to system dynamics, field theory, topology and the protological relations from which communicative structure emerges. I have no formal training or experience in this area, but I can perceive significant blind spots in how the phenomenon is generally understood. The deeper value of studying disinformation lies in what it reveals about communication itself: deception, delay, diffusion and dissimulation are not anomalies, but recurring structural dynamics through which organised relations persist, adapt and transform.
My perspective is that disinformation is best understood not primarily as false content, but as a relational and dynamical configuration within the wider field of all possible communicative constellations. This matters because it shifts attention from isolated messages to the conditions that generate, stabilise and transform persistent communicative organisation. What follows is an attempt to develop that broader perspective as rigorously and coherently as I am able.
