Labyrinth

Everything is introspection.

The truth is that the more you seek approval and self-validation through other people’s eyes, the less you will ever find it or, and at the very least, the less it will ever come to fill that expanding void within you. We are all born (as much as we ever become) broken in this way; the world obtains sustainable continuity as and through or by a peculiar kind of inverse logical unity in all these shallow little souls and every assertion of self-identity actually only ever hollows us out more. Of course, we are all far too busy gazing into the mirror of our mind to ever notice that even as we aggregate and gather these transient tokens of meaning or self-validation within and as our selves, we also – endless and unknowing – dissolve like so many lonely little castles made of sand.
