Entropic Respiration

For a system to persistently self-sustain, it has to negotiate and/or “exhale” its own waste products as entropy.

Generating waste that is reusable by something or someone else is all but ubiquitous in biology.

Human systems (and consequences, in a scaled, industrial and technological sense) might be uniquely distinguished by the volume, diversity and cadence of their largely unrecyclable outputs.

I suspect that a primary hurdle to genuinely regenerative process and product (or usage and behaviour) refinement is that we need to think and plan in terms of aspirationally whole systems of systems (SoS).

Just reflecting: good intentions are great but it seems to me that commercial incentives and aligned myopic motivations render holistic systems theories largely unintelligible to decision makers and senior (i.e. political) leadership.
