Bravery is not the absence of fear, it is the ability to act in spite of fear. Only a fool knows no fear and were it not that we demonise emotional experience in the ways we all do and as a function of the constructive paranoia that binds us all into one writhing mass of anxious and insecure humanity, we might accept our weaknesses and acknowledge them as a counter-intuitive yet enduring source of strength. Do not fear your own fears and doubts, they provide you strength and they are as natural in your life and mind as any other psychological state.
It is only through life’s many great and small tragedies that we ever come to understand the true value of love.
