Strategic insight is often ignored not because it lacks value, but because systems prefer analysis that confirms their existing assumptions.

…there is very little place now for carefully developed strategic or philosophical insight. The world has not moved beyond thought so much as modulated away from depth, into a productive semiosis of endlessly reactive superficial insecurity.

Systems analysis fails socially before it fails intellectually: when it is wrong, it is ignored; when it is right, it is resisted, unless it can be translated into the comforting language of what the system already believes about itself.
