Human beings copy each other, it provides a modest respite from implicit psychological insecurities. They copy each other copying each other because they are tribal creatures and for all this aspirational social or cultural identity construction – they are all so easily led, swept away by trends and peer pressure or commercial desperation. After a while they just continue copying the copies of the copies, self-replicating the process without any rationale or anchor back to the psychological comfort or base tribal memberships they originally sought. So, they become unhappy, isolated, lonely and insecure – and their only possible solution is to make more copies. It is a hollow world, without substance or even a trace of authentic happiness.
