A society sustains peace through care, difference and collective intelligence, organising its institutions to preserve life, enable participation and adapt to changing circumstances.
We do not simply use language. We participate in its continual reconstruction, and through that reconstruction language continually participates in ours.
Meaning is not hidden inside things. It emerges through the relationships, delays, absences, and consequences that allow anything to matter at all.
The question is whether what we currently reward actually assists the capacity of civilisation to persist, adapt, repair itself, and create meaningful futures.
Still here. Still thinking. Still refusing to disappear.
Science has not stopped discovering reality. We have become less capable of surviving what those discoveries imply about ourselves.
When organisations confuse confidence with competence, wealth with wisdom, and power with understanding, incompetence is no longer simply a failure of leadership but becomes one of its preferred production methods.
The strangest thing about meaning is that it does not arise from certainty but from its absence. Language works because something always escapes complete description. What remains unsaid is not a failure of communication. It is the condition that makes communication possible.
